Mama, I love my kids so much it hurts.
Here’s the deal —- Loving your kids when they’re good or bad is hard.
Your heart aches and mind races. God hand-picked them for you, but would they pick you when their actions, words, expressions suggest otherwise? You’re doing the best you know how without a handbook.
You love when you’re all together wishing it would last forever. You yearn for a little quiet and calm if there is such a thing yet secretly cry when you’re not with them. Please tell me I’m not alone?
Mama your team, aka kid(s), LOVE you. No matter what. It’s true.
Even when you lashed out, lost your cool or didn’t text back/answer the call because you didn’t want to say something you would regret. Been there more times than I would like to admit.
Can I encourage you to let your kids Love you. Be vulnerable, open and Love them back. Even when your heart hurts and you question whether your kdis would pick you out of a line up of hundreds.
Colossians 3:20-21 (NASB1995)
“Children, be obedient to your parents in all things, for this is well-pleasing to the Lord. Fathers, do not exasperate your children, so that they will not lose heart”
Hands down they choose you. You would do the same…tell them that.
Mama, I double dog dare you to ask your kid(s) one ☝🏻 question, “Would you pick me to be your Mom if you had a choice?” I would love to hear your legacy's answers. I bet you will be shocked at what you hear.
Love is sticky. Love is hard. Love is needed. Love like Jesus did. You're called to Love no matter what your heart thanks you.
Just LOVE hard anyway. It's worth it.
